Blake Jones

Blake Jones, Ph.D., LCSW.  Dr. Blake Jones is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a faculty member at the University of Kentucky in the College of Social Work.  He has been a practicing therapist since 1998, and he sees teenagers (15 y.o. and older), couples and adults.  His areas of clinical interest and expertise are:

* Working with Law Enforcement Officers/First responders and their families

* Anxiety and Depression, especially in teens

* Couples counseling (including premarital and post-divorce)

* Work-related stress

* Working with older teens and their families during the transition to college

Blake describes his counseling “style” this way, “My most important task as a therapist is to provide a safe place where people can process what is going on in their lives.  I’m a good listener, but I also actively engage my clients in thinking about how things can be different.  I tend to provide lots of resources for them (i.e., web site recommendations, apps, podcasts, books, etc.) because I see the process of therapy as a collaboration.”

Blake has been married for twenty years to his wife, Melissa, and together they have two sons, ages 16 and 13.
